Mom for a day...

I don’t know what I was thinking! I guess I got caught up in the moment planning our new message series (Trading Spaces) and lost my mind. It seemed like a good idea to take Stacey’s place for a day (my wife), but now I am having second thoughts. She gets up so early and stays up late and never stops! My usual agenda is watching the latest Dirty Jobs or Myth busters. What even makes it worse is that it is going to be filmed! We will air the video on Mother’s Day (that should be a real embarrassment) . Holy cow I am not ready to be a mom! Pray for me.

I know Kelli busts her rear end. Not only does she work 4 days a week, but spends upwards of 8+ hours a week rehearsing her music at home, and to top it all off taking care of her two boys (of which I am one of them.....LOL). She does a great job at all those? She does and I can't brag on her enough.

Mothers are like glue. In the line of work I'm in, we have this stuff we make airplanes out of, these fine little tiny fibers of carbon, that are very delicate and brittle on their own, they are about the size of a human hair. (now I know some of you are like what in the world do airplanes have to do with mothers/wives........hang with me here) When you take these fibers and weave them together and then soak them in glue, once the glue hardens you have something that now is stronger, lighter and more flexible than steel.

Mothers and wives are the glue that hold families together, at least in our families case. I regularly tell Kelli when the brownie batter is about to hit the fan at our house and she works her mom magic, that she is the glue that holds our family together.

I know that Noah and I would be in far, far worse off if we didn't have such an awesome wife/mother. She is certainly a gift from God, a jewel from the Creator specially designed, and built just for her two "boys".
